Why does warframe keep telling me to make sure my firewall permits udp ports 4950 and 4955 on ps41/3/2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() Port forwarding always seems more responsive when it's applied to something like a dedicated server within the network. So Firewalls can definitely contribute to the strangeness.Īnother question is are your friends on the same LAN? Because I'm not sure how much that would/could contribute to the issue, since everyone would have the same external IP as far as Warframe was concerned so it might be some port conflict? Possibly try having everyone use different Port ranges? I dunno at this point I'm just rambling cause I need coffee. *recalls a time when Portal 2 was hardlocking my system because the firewall was blocking access and hanging it when it was transitioning video settings* All it took was setting Portal 2 as an "allowed" application and it ran like butter after that. Not really sure how it would really benefit Warframe since it has more "aggressive" matchmaking, more bidirectional if that makes sense? Then again I guess it all depends on the hardware.įirewall could definitely be a whoozle in the whuzzle (industry terms) but it really depends on what firewall you use as to how you need to configure it to allow Warframe the access it requires if that is indeed the issue. EG a Minecraft server, so the router knows where to direct the traffic. Port forwarding always seems more responsive when it's applied to something like a dedicated server within the network. ![]()
